Hansi History There are several contradictions regarding the formation of the city.

*. Some historians believe that theancient city of Hansi was founded by Asa Ram Jat. *. While a few say that the city was founded by King Prithviraj Chauhan's ill daughter. The buildings in the city constructed in the Rajput architectural style aging back tohis dynasty are the evidences. *. Others say that King Anangpal Tomar founded the city for his guru - Hansakar. It was discovered that a sword manufacturing factory was set up in the main fort by the Tomar King and he exported swords to the Arab countries. However, this is also disputed by a few historians who say that these factories were set upby the Rajput King Prithvi Raj Chauhan. *. Another theory says that the famous military adventurer of Ireland, George Thomas built a kingdom of his own in Haryanafrom 1756 - 1802 and made Hansi as the capital city. After the British rule came into power, the East India Company took over his Kingdom in the year 1802.
